Dated September 28th, 1881
Benjamin Franklin Coppess, a farmer and local government official in Darke County, was the grandson of one of the county's earliest pioneers. His famed Benjamin Franklin Coppess House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. The Coppess House, built in 1882, is in the Queen Anne and Stick-Eastlake style, located at 209 Washington Street in Greenville, Ohio.
