The gorgeous items in the photos are Nachtman "Helena" Crystal Brandy sniffers. These four vintage glasses were manufactured in West Germany by Nachtman, a company known for high quality Bavarian crystal. The Helena pattern is characterized by its heavy lead construction and a distinctive hand cut diamond teardrop like pattern that wraps around the lower portion of the bowl. The balloon shaped bowl is specifically designed as a sniffer for spirits like Brandy, cognac or whiskey, allowing the aroma to concentrate at the top. They hold 150 ml, or 5 ounces of liquid. Pictures do not do the snifters justice. They are dazzling. In excellent pre owned condition. Perfect! A discontinued pattern. Height 3.75 inches. Non smoking pet free home. Note: I have another set of four glasses available.
