VINTAGE Milk Glass Trunk / Treasure Chest Candy Container - V.E.T. Style.
Vintage Milk Glass Candy Container shaped like a domed-top treasure chest or trunk. This piece features wonderful molded details including "straps," "rivets," a "lock" on the front, and a decorative diamond floral crest on the lid.
The container is made of heavy, opaque white milk glass and retains its original rusted tin/metal slide bottom, which is a rare find as these were often lost or discarded once the candy was eaten.
Condition Report
●Glass: In good vintage condition. There is visible crazing/surface hairlines consistent with age and the manufacturing process of early milk glass (please see photos). There are no large chips or structural cracks.
●Paint: Shows significant "cold paint" loss. Traces of original gold/brown detailing remain on the straps and lock, giving it an authentic, aged patina.
●Metal Base: The tin slide-on bottom is present and functional but shows heavy oxidation/rusting, which
